I jumped out of a plane on my 30th birthday.

On my 30th birthday, I did something wild. I strapped on breast cancer awareness gear, boarded a plane, and leapt out of the sky — all for the women I love. Some call it crazy. I call it covered. Because I wasn’t just falling — I was flying in faith.
Not because I wanted to test my fear—but because I needed to prove to myself that I was still alive. It was Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and I wore all pink as a declaration: I see you, survivors. And I’m fighting with you.

That skydive wasn’t just a thrill — it was a spiritual moment.
I felt the rush of air, the free fall, the pause… and then the parachute opened.
It reminded me of grace.
How sometimes we’re falling through life — unsure if anything will catch us — until suddenly, God’s hand shows up like a parachute. Quiet. Gentle. Secure.

October means so much more to me than falling leaves. It’s a reminder that storms come, diagnoses shake us, and life gets heavy… but grace always covers what we can’t control. This month, as the leaves shift and the winds grow colder, I’m also reminded that storms are not the end. They’re a setup for shelter. For warmth. For glory.
